(كيف تنطق أيام الأسبوع والشهور والتواريخ بالإنجليزية؟ 1)

الأرقام التي تنتهي بـ -ty، مثل 20 و 30 ، قم بتغيير -yإلى -i وإضافة -eth. فمثلا:

•            20 – twentieth

•            30 – thirtieth

•            21st – twenty-first

•            22nd – twenty-second

•            23rd – twenty-third

•            24th – twenty-fourth

•            25th – twenty-fifth

•            26th – twenty-sixth

•            27th – twenty-seventh

•            28th – twenty-eighth

•            29th – twenty-ninth

•            30th – thirtieth

•            31st – thirty-first

في اللغة الإنجليزية البريطانية ، يبدأ التاريخ عادةً باليوم الذي يليهالشهر ، بينما في اللغة الإنجليزية الأمريكية ، عادةً ما يكون الشهر هو الأول. هذا صحيح أيضًا عندما اختصر التاريخ إلى ثلاثة أرقام. على سبيل المثال ، يصبح الأول من ديسمبر 2017:

– Our Wedding Anniversary is on August 11th. (pronounced ‘on August the eleventh’.)

السنوات في اللغة الانجليزية 

سنوات في اللغة الإنجليزية.، يتم فصل معظم السنوات إلى رقمين. فمثلا:

•            1750 – seventeenfifty

•            1826 – eighteen twenty-six

•            1984 – nineteeneighty-four

•            2017 – twenty seventeen

يتم نطق السنة الأولى من كل قرن على النحو التالي:

•            1400 – fourteen hundred

•            1700 – seventeenhundred

•            2000 – two thousand

يتم نطق السنوات التسع الأولى من القرن على النحو التالي:

•            1401 – fourteen oh one

•            1701 – seventeen oh one

•            2001 – two thousand and one

يمكننا أن نشير إلى عقد (فترة عشر سنوات) بهذه الطريقة:

1960-1969 – The ‘60s – pronounced‘the sixties’

1980-1989 – The ‘80s – pronounced‘the eighties’.

2000 – 2009 – The 2000s – pronounced‘the two thousands’

– My parents got married in the seventies.

– Maradona played for Napoli in the eighties.

– Where were you living in the nineties?

– The internet became popular worldwide in the two thousands.
